Hi all,

From the approvals I have seen posted so far most are in the 9/01 - 11/01 ND range. so although TSC is posting that they are processing 5/01 date files. I think they are handling all 01 cases so far. What do you all think?

Thanks,
Spartakus

you are exactly right

they are processing all 2001 cases simultaneously. randomness we are seeing may be due to, the way these applications are split among immig. officers and their approval rate.

Also, I have seen some approvals in dec' 01 (when I scanned around my nD Dec-29-01). At this rate, most of us in 2001 year, should get approvals in about 3-4 weeks. That is not too long, compared to what we have gone thru'.

3-4 weeks sounds too optimistic :-) But at the rate TSC has been approving cases I think we should see all 2001 cases will be approved within the next 3 - 4 months. It will be nice to see all 2001 RD/ND forum hubbers be approved before the first half of this year.

I agree with vettipuls

Guys, we still have a bunch of 5/01 filers in this forum who need to be approved. I think June, July and October are light months for various reasons. August has a bunch of approvals already. Hence I think 3 to 4 months at this rate is a good estimate for 2001 485's. One thing to remember is that for a good 2 years or so in 1998 to 2000 or so Texas was processing 485's in 1 year. So these guys can do it if they put their heart to it.

vettipuls, you are correct!

I looked at a snapshot of data from the consolidated file (May 01 to Sep 01). If TSC keeps the current pace of approvals it looks like they will need about 80 more work days to finish the FY 2001.

Statistics for cases from beginning of May 01 to end of Sep 01

Total cases: 11959
Approved: 6055 (50.6%)
Transferred: 1381 (11.5%)
Remaining: 4523 (37.8%)

Approved in February (1 Feb-11 Feb): 452
Work days (1 Feb-11 Feb): 8
Current average rate of approval: 56 cases per day

Work days needed to finish the remaining cases: 80 (4 months)

The processing pattern in February clearly changed - they are now working cases for the whole period from May to Nov, while in January they were going only through May and Aug cases. It looks like their objective changed from trying to move the processing date further to trying to clear the whole pile of 2001 cases ASAP.

This is the best post I have seen. Thanks Gingibi.

A friend of a friend got approved - his status on web was changed today but the status says case was approved on Feb 4.

Is that usual ?

Gingibi couldn't agree with you more. Nice analysis. For Aug 20, 2001 ND the whole of last year they processed around 8 cases. So far in the last 3 weeks they have approved 27 cases, transferred 13 cases, issued RFE to 20 cases. So one thing for sure is that things are moving at rapid pace and its just a matter of time before all the cases are atleast touched. Good luck !!

A couple of more approvals todays for Nov 2001 cases ..

Saw a couple of new approvals just today(2/12) for SRC02034XXXXX series ... ND Nov 10 2001. The last set of approvals in this series was on 2/2.

So, just hang in there guys.
