I-485 Approval

We got our I-485 approval letters. But it is a new kind of message.

Notice type: Approval Notice

Message:

In processing your case we have reached the point where we need to make an appointment to go to one of our ASC to have some additional biometrics (fingerprint, photo and signature) taken.

call customer service at 800.375.5283 to schedule your appointment.
We cannot complete certain steps in processing until you appear for this appointment. you must appear for your appointment within 84 days from the date of this notice.
---------------------------------------------

My questions are

1.) Do I need to take an appointment for Bio-metrics.
2.) What is the step next?
3.) What about PP stamping?

My lawyer is asking for the rest of legal fees since the case is approved. But I am little bit confused still one new step is to be done.

Please give your experience

I remember you had a false start eaelier because i had same message( a mistake) around that time and my FBi Name check was also pending since Oct 2003 last time i checked .

Hi everybody,

Finally, I heard from my local Congressman by letter dated Oct. 15, 2005 that my FBI name check has got cleared after 2 years with so much efforts, but it didn't mention when that has been done.

Got a letter from US SENATOR that my I-485 has got approved by USCIS.

As you told you before, I have received the letter from TSC my approval notice and need for fresh bio-metrics.

Bio-metrics is scheduled on Nov 22, 2005. Will post my experience after that date.

Card Received

Hi everybody,

We have received our card on Nov 28, 2005.

After a long struggle, our journey comes to an happy ending. However, not a perfect one. My wife's card has a typo-mistake which needs to be fixed.

However, I have a question for all gurus.
In my card, it says TYPE E26 whereas in my wife's card E27.
Does any body know what it means?
