I-485 Approval

Hi,

This morning when I was checking my case I found following message.
"This case has been approved. On June 24, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

The above message didn't say my card has been ordered.
Can this forum suggest we need to go for passport stamp?
What are things we need for passport stamp?
How to get appointment in VA?
Another question to this forum.
My wife and my son case has not approved yet? Any idea how many days USCIS will take?
Please suggest.
Thanks

Congratulations!!!

Your approval notice will say whether you need to make an Infopass appt and schedule a passport stamping or if your card has already been ordered.

If you have to go for stamping, you should take the following:
1) Passport with I94
2) Approval notice
3) Infopass appt printout
4) Photos
5) EADs and APs

Here's the website for taking infopass appt:
http://infopass.uscis.gov/

And I have no idea how long your wife and son's case will take - sorry. But enjoy this moment!!!

thanks for quick reply!
How many photos required?

As of a few months ago, the requirement was 2 passport style photos. Check if this is still the case...very likely, your approval notice will also say what the photo requirements are.

If your card has been ordered, there is no need to go for PP stamping.

Applying for new AP for wife/son is your call, if you think their 485's will not be approved by that time and they need to travel outside the country, then you have to renew.

Congrats.. please post your case details
