We ( me and my wife) did not get our apporval notices in mail .
I suspect UCIS sent it to my old home address ( aXX hXXX) .
we got online apporaval message saying approval date July 16 2004.
Also , attorney sent a withdrawal of support to UCIS after RFE reply.

Next steps ,
Do I call IIO . Public please let me know CSC # ?
Or DO I call NCS line ( wait of 30 min ) ?
Do I need my wife to be there to update her case address ?
How many days it takes for them to send it ?
There is no update like " the approval notice could not be delivered
on my online status".

Public please help .
Thanks in advance.

When the approval notice is sent in mail, if the recipient is not at that address,

(i) If there is forwarding request, does it get forwarded to the new address?
(ii) Does it get delivered to the same old address where the recipient does not reside or
(iii) Does it go back to USCIS?

I am planning to move to new apt from current one. I have just given my 2nd FP last wednesday.

thanks

Think that the mail does not get forwared though one of my friends got it forwared.
I have heard a couple of cases of not getting forwared.
Most probably it goes back to UCIS as a stamp on the UCIS papers always says
" Return service requested"

Did you guys not inform your old Post office to forward all your mails to the new address.

I heard atleast 2 people moving before approval came and the postoffice promptly redirected the mail per their instruction to their first postoffice on their move to the new place.

mine forwarded

i noticed that my new address was printed on the envelop (you know the mailing address was shown through the window on the envelop, which was old in my approval notice).

This is what happened.

I applied using home address in houston.

I changed adress using CSC fax # and change address form.

I asked for FOIA ( freedom of Information act ) for GC papers and
got all my copy of LC and I-140 as my old employer did not give me a copy.
I saw the address change fax copy too.

The address which I had changed too in my office address as it was to remain same.

I changed home adress many a times 3 times but only changed address
using AR-11 and not in CSC.

I called up UCIS NSC and had them re-update my office address.

They told me to wait 30 days for an answer.

Did you try to go to local office for stamping and use the uscis case status printout as evidence of approval (their going to check it on their system anyways).

Two things could happen; approval notice will be re-forwarded to you in 30 days by uscis (highly unlikely, my wife's EAD took three months to get after it was sent back to uscis). Second thing is you go for stamping and they do not accept uscis screen printout and ask you to file I-824 (application for action on an approved application). Currently in Nebraska they are processing cases like this with an April 2004 received date.

I have seen both types of situations although the i-824 situation was rare.

Hope that i-824 is not the case for us.
Let me wait for their reply.
