I-485 Approval Delay

Dear Sir/Madam,
My I-140 got approved on Jan 29, 2002 (via EB1) and the I-485 was filed at VSC. My second finger printing was done in Nov 2003. However, I still have not received the approval. My lawyers say we just have to wait until CIS clears out the backlog.

The VSC dates show current I-485 processing to be Sep 22, 2002. Inquiries to VSC did not yield any useful results, they say there have been some delays in fingerprint processing. Is there any other way to expedite the process ?

how many FP's did u have?

why dont u find out results of ur FP's from FBI?
check here for FBI contact information.

also u can contact local senator and discuss ur case.

As per your advice, I wrote an e-mail to the FBI address. Lo and behold, both my wife's and my I-485 applications were approved simultaneously although my wife's application was lagging behind due an RFE. This happened within 4 days of submitting the query to FBI.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks for your help. If not, I am pretty sure my application would have languished for many more days/months before it saw the light of day.

i m in the same boat , i really hit the rocks , after i was interviewd for i 485 after several years , so far i have don 3 finger prints , one before the interview last finger print was on 7th oct , and interview took place at washington dc office on 25th , it went quite well, in the end she said i had name check pending , i emailed my humble request to FBi and also email them , just waiting for their replies if they so .

any further suggestions ? would be highly appreciated , thanks again
