I-485 Application Withdrawn

I've been scanning this set of cases for quite some time now. This particular case had fingerprints received and case resumed on 03/27/03. Now the status has changed to something I've never seen before:

"On July 2, 2003, we mailed a notice acknowledging withdrawal of this application. This withdrawal completes all action on this application. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours."

Anyone seen this before? Why would this happen? Is this a denial, or did the sponsoring company cancel the application?

something like Longgc ?

LongGc did you have similar message?
or maybe the applicant withdrew the application voluntarily.

It is most likely that a couple filed two primary and two secondary I-485s since each has his/her own LC. Then one of them has been approved, thus they withdrew the other one.

It is also possible that they have now decided to go thru consular processing instead of AOS

Is this legit?

Is this legit? Is there any negative repercussion?
Anyone care to comment?

I think so since I have friends who did that, but I don't know the details. You may consult an attorney if you want to go this safe route.
