I-485 application, please help!

My attorney said she mailed my I-485 application on 07/08/05 but as today we didn't receive any receipt notice and checks we sent were not cashed yet! Is this normal? I told my attorney to call USCIS but she said it's too early to worry and she can't call without the "LIN" number on the back of the checks. She told me she had the delivery confirmation from post office that it arrived on 07/11/05. I am worried something is wrong. Anyone? please help.

Thanks! I called USCIS this morning and was told the applications are in the system but she also said it's weird that checks were not cashed.
But at least it's in the system I guess.
