My green card has been filed fron CT. When I get my pay slip my company cuts CT Tax. Last year, I lived in NY for about 8 months and then moved to NJ. Pl. let me know if I am right.

I will file for refund from CT while I will pay state tax for NY and NJ.

I also know VSC some time ask for IT Return during I-485 processing.

I will consult CPA also, the reason for posting at this board is that we get the best suggestion from this board.

No Title

i485 filing state and taxes has no relation. If the company is headquarted in connecticut they will file your labor in connecticut not to have problems with ins. Our company does the same for all our employees located through out the states. The taxes are altogether different issue. You should not let your company to detect CT taxes because, you will be paying penalty for NY because you worked in the ny state and did not pay enough taxes. INS will check for whether you have paid taxes for the years you have lived in the country. However i am not an attorney or CPA to give legal or tax advice, please check with professionals in that field
