I-485 and I-130 both hold

Hi guys: I applied for the I-485 and I-130 in June 2005. Since 4 years both are on hold. First I was in the waiting game of background check then in June 2008 the customer services told me that the checks are completed. Me and my wife first call for the interview in November 2008 and then the same officer call us in January 9, 2009. This time we have separate interviews. Since we live together thats why 95% questions have same answers. Now they sent me a letter two months ago that the application is on hold in the review section and once the review will be completed it will be go back to the adjudicating officer. Dont know what kind of that game is that needs help and suggestion. Also I finally hire a lawyer like a month ago and he charge me 350 dollars and wrote a letter to immigration to make decession about my case. Lawyer told me it takes several weeks to get the reply from immigration. My case is in Atlanta office. Also evidence which we showed to the officer is joint tax returns, joint bank statements and some pictures. I dont have a joint lease as I live with my wife family property. I have been married since 5 years. My wife is white and I am asian.

Talk to your congressmen! Although they can NOT make decisions they can inquire about your case directly to USCIS.
 
Yes I did. Senator and the congress member both sent me the letters every month. These are the words which the USCIS told them and they sent it to me.

Please understand that the reviews are part of the process of adjudication cases of similar nature. While an exact date for the completion of reviews cannto be given at this time. we will make every effort to make a decesion on your case as soon as the case is assign to the adjudication officer and the reviews are completed.

You can also always file Writ of Mandamus (if I spelled it right). What does your lawyer say about it?
 
The lawyer is waiting for the reply from the USCIS. Lawsuit I dont know how much money he will ask me to do that. Ah long wait over 4 years. Dont know that they will create that kind of trouble with me. What are the chances to reject my case ? My life is easy my wife is happy with me. But every year 360 dollars for the EAD is really killing me.
