My lawyer send I-485 & EAD to VSC on NOV 20 2001, Still waiting for receipt. Is anyone in the some boat?
 
I-485 & EAD

I got I-140 Approval notice, It show (we have send to NVC) , my laywer send I-485 & EAD to VSC on NOV 2001, I still waiting for receipt, Now my quest is
1. Is all I-140 Approval case will send to NVC?
2. How long I can get my I-485 & EAD receipt?
3. Is anyone in the same boat?

jojo1969 - we have the same MD and same situation..

I have not yet received my receipt - but hope to get one either this week or next. Filed I-485, EAD, AP and I-140 was approved for CP.
 
If your I-140 is approved for CP then.

VSC sends the case to NVC. NVC will send it to consulate.
Your file is either at NVC or consulate depends on I-140 AD.

2.Is that mean She does\'t need write letter to NVC to change my CP to AOS?
3.what is I-140AD?

here are the answers..

Q1 - Yes it has been filed as AOS
Q2. Depending on your I-140 approval date, your case may have been sent to consulate. Either way no harm writing a letter.
Q3. I-140 AD is approval date for I-140
 
Your lawyer should inform NVC.

As far as I know, if you indicated that you wanted to do CP in the form 140, after your lawyer received the package 3 from NVC, he/she should send a letter to NVC to inform them that you wanted to do AOS instead so NVC will keep your approval in NVC. If your lawyer failed to inform them, NVC would forward your case to the counsular office. You can call NVC to find out the status of your I-140 approval. (You need your EAC number for I-140.) The phone number is (603)334-0700.
