My sister filed I-130 for me last year. My priority date is May 2009. And I am not from China, India, Mexico, or Philippines. Now my I 130 has been approved and we got the approval notice. Currently, I live in the US as an F1 student. The approval notice indicated that i need to file I 485 to adjust my status. I am not sure whether I can file I 485 right now or I have to wait until visa number becomes available for me. Probably, it will take several years to get visa number. Please let me know when is the correct time for me to file I 485.
