I am going to have the 2nd interview for I-485 at NY district office (1st interview was done a year ago. The officier approved my case but I never received my green card) in 2 weeks. And I just find out that the commission on a notarized paper expired on Oct 5 2005. Do I need to pay more money to get it notarized again? Thank you for any help.

You shouldn't have to pay for public notary services. Walk into any bank and they'll notarize your documents for free.

You can get your papers notarized for free:
• in a bank, IF you have an account in that bank AND they provide this service to their customers (most of them are)
• at your work place, if you work for a big enough company, then just ask your human resource manager (that’s where I get all my notarizations)
• from somebody (a notary of course), who knows you, or someone who knows somebody who knows you and is willing to do it as a favor. :p
