I-360 Questions for Govt Sponsored GC

Hi All,

Did'nt see a I-360 forum so posting this here. My wife is a contractor for the US government and they plan of sponsoring her (as a contractor) for permanent resident visa. They have told her that they will file I-360 (Special Immigrant EB4) & then I-485. Can anyone tell me if that route is better & or faster, than say my employer filing for my GC (based on assumption of a pre approved labour) I-140 and I-485 concurrently in EB2.

What I want to know is that just because the government will file my wife's I-360, does that mean that her process will go through like a breeze or be given special preference?
Can some experts shed some light on this?

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for special preference, but she will be EB4 which means no priority date waits.

Well thats exactly the point I am trying to clarify. If her EB4 has no special preferences then why shouldnt I go forward with my EB2 with premium processing for I-140? It would take the same amount of time or be quicker, wouldnt it?

Any thoughts?

That depends; is EB2 current for your country of birth? Are you confident it will remain so for the next year or so?

Yes. It is current and I dont think It will change for another year or so. My countrymen dont really get too many H1's to come to the US in the first place.
