I-20 and F1 problem

I attended a private high school and I had the approval notice for an F-1 visa through an I-20. I transferred to a different private school before taking any classes in my first school that I got the I-20 from. The problem is that my second school did not support international students but they accepted me because of my F1 status. I graduated now and i'm afraid my action would create a problem when I apply to any university. my status is still legal and i still got time.
My question is: Did i go out of status during attending school? is there any charges against me? and what will happen if i apply to a university when the international adviser sees my transcript and my I-20 from different schools?

You say that the second school didn't support international students, and you never got I-20 from them?

In any case, you cannot enter the States on F-1 visa given to you for school A, and then immediately tranfer to school B without ever attending school A. I'd say you have a problem.

You especially cannot enter the States on F-1 to go to school A, then transfer to school B that doesn't even support F-1 status. I'd say you have been out of status ever since you came in to the States and never reported to school A.

Sorry i didn't mention that i entered the states as a visitor. then i changed my status when i entered school A. Does this mean that that i was illegal the whole time i attended school B?

if school B didn't issue I-20 for you while you were attending it, then yes, you were out of status all the time you were enrolled in school B. If you were out of status for more than 5 months, you can apply for reinstatement, but it's not guaranteed that you would be granted it.

I think you should defiantly call up an Immigration attorney and ask him/her what would be the best for you to do. To me your case sounds innocent; however it is urgent for you to take further action with an attorney to clear up the situation.
