I-140 RFE, company name change question

Just got an RFE for I-140. It requests for my previous years W-2s (2001, 2002, 2003). I am working for the same company "A" for the previous 4 years i.e. since Apr. 2001. The name of the company changed from "A" to "B" in 2003.
All my W-2s from previous years show company name as "A". My question is would it have any effect on the I-140 processing if the company name changes in the middle of the process. Thanks in advance. HCT

If it is just name change it should afect any thing. Check whether tax id is also changed. If it is then you may need to apply for ammended I-140 or just Ac-21 depending upon your current situation.

Just got the approval for I-140. Could not believe my eyes looking at the approval email from USCIS. I had sent the RFE just 3 days ago. Good luck for those whose are waiting for I-140 approval. Now begins the long wait for I-485, but hopefully it would get approved soon.
