I-140 Redo waiters . Had Talk with IIO.

All I40 redo waiters
I talked to iio today and was extreamly disappointed. He told me that I-1485 processing for cases with merger / name change/ acquition has been on kept on hold until they here from headquarters which they expect to hear latest by April 1st. He told me that my case is also on hold. I verified that my 1-40 and 485 is linked. He asked me to call around Mid march to find out if they had the new regulations from head qaurters.
It seems like some of the approvals we are seeing for redo cases are from officers who do not know about this hold. I guess I am not so lucky as the others to squeez thru. I am totally convinced that there is a hold on my case after talking to IIO.

Talked to IIO regarding my case. Also asked him about cases being put on hold awaiting headquarter\'s guidelines. He said, since new President is going to review the new laws, we are holding decision on some cases if those cases can have impact of the new law. Frankly, I did not understand what he was trying to say. Therefore, I asked him if my case will be affected due to this hold(since I had 140 redo done), he said he can not find that out right now because my case is on hold because of unavailability of visa numbers (my PD is 6/97 eb3). He asked me to check back by end of march if I dont hear anything about my case.
Looks like there is lot of confusion in VSC and nobody knows whats happening.

Thank you for the update.

I guess as per new bill we don\'t need to do I140 redo if there is
just name change.But in our case we already done the REDO and
I don\'t know what way new bill contradicts if they approve the
cases after I140 approval.

Yep . It is kind of strange but I feel some officers are not really following the hold rule and approving the cases. Some people are lucky in getting approved. I am not that lucky and that is the reason I confirmed with the IIO yesterday. He was telling that they will get to know from headquarters no later than 1st April. Just keeping my fingers crossed.
