I-140 - received a notice requesting additional information

I have filed I-140 with Receipt Date February 03, 2003 on Texas Service Center.
Today (after 160 days) I saw on BCIC web site following message: "On July 11, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. ...."

My question is:
After resubmitting those additional information, approximately how long I need to wait their decision. My applications will go on the end of the queue, or they will remain on the current position?

With another words: I will lose those 160 days waiting or not?

from what I have seen in other threads sometime people actually want to get a RFE as they can get a swifter response. although as with everything lese connected to the BCIS there is no firm logic.

As far as I am aware you do not go to the bottom of the pile again, and I have seen cases where after the RFE is submitted the approval is made within 7 days.

I my case. It looks like that I lost all these days before reply RFE. I have heard nothing since RFE received by BCIS. Up to today it accumulates more than 130 days. If counts from my I-140 original file date it is some where around 300 days!

I talked to the BCIS a couple of times. One resonable explianation was that the days between the date RFE issued and BCIS received date will be substract from the total days. This means during these days BCIS does not process your case. I was also told that the process time is not 160 days as indicated on your receipt. Unfortunately it varies from officer to officer, like 6 months to 8 months. So what we can say!

We have received the letter from the immigration service today.
The problem was that my attorney have wrote wrong preference category 2nd instead of 3rd.

They needed proof of may experience, and we already sent 2 letter of recommendation from my previews employer.

I don't know what you asking exactly,
but my applications are in Texas Service Center.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I am doing consular processing through the London Embassy for my green card EB3. I wondered whether your I-140 filed was for consular processing or as re already in the US working and filing for adjustment of status?

I have filed only I-140 and still waiting.
If I have I-140 approved, then I will file I-485.
What you think, is this a good idea, or I need to file I-485 right now?
