I-140 RD on 07/31/2002

Guys,

My I-140 RD is 07/31/2002.

If I call INS with my LIN... number, I am getting reply as "This case takes 150 to 180 days ..." Do I really need to wait so long?
Absolutely no news from INS so far. Not even RFE.

Do anybody has this kind of status. Pls. be posted.

Same boat

I am also in the same boat. Mine was recd on Aug 6th and the same message from day one.

No change. I did call my lawyer and she says there is nothing abnormal about it.

May be ours would get approved before Thanks Giving.

Let us hope so.

My I-140 Receipt Date is Jule 23, 02 and I do see the 150 - 180 days processing message when I check the status online. I think NSC is not processing any July Applications. It sounds like that. Lets hope that all of us applications will be approved by Thank's Gvng Day.

Yes Ravali.

I too feel the same.

In my company I was the only person who applied in July.

All others who applied before and after me (even sep) got approved.

I am the only one among 20 people who applied for I 140 pending in my company
 
Looks like those who applied for concurrent get approval prior to the regular one.

If that is the case, how long we need to wait for the approval.

Still we can hope for Thanks giving...

I spoke to an IIO at NSC and they told me they are processing July cases. I140 approval is purely based on luck. I am still waiting.

How come you received the FP notice from TSC? Did you send your I485 application to TSC?

Hi Aptiv,
You will be recieving the Receipt Notices atleast after 6 weeks from the RD.
I-480 RD 10/03/02
I-480 ND 11/01/02
I-480 Receipt Recieved on 11/11
I-480 FP 12/17/02

I was also worried at one time about the RD but after waiting for 6 weeks, I got mine. You will get yours at any time.

Thans GOD that my I-140 get approved. Little recap:

140/485: RD 9/16, ND 10/4
RFE issued 10/31, RFE response received 11/13 by INS.
I-140 approved: 11/25. (AVM updated, online not)

Did not get the approval notice in hand, hoping within 4 days.

As of Nov 1, 2002 I-140 applications being processed was 09/23/02.

As of Nov 15, 2002 it is updated as 07/18/2002.

Is INS Calendar going backward?

Just checked the online message and it has changed. Now it says" It is taking 210 to 240 days(earlier it was 150 to 180 days) to process ...."

I get the same message too

My I140 receipt date is Aug 08/02. I used to see 150 to 180 days till some time back.Now the message reads 210 to 240 days.
Dont know what is happening.

Anybody knows what's going on.Is there a freeze on I140 also as there is for I485.

As someone mentioned in the above email "I-140's are purely based on luck", I hope all of ours are processed soon.

I-140 from March, 2002

Hi All:

My friends I-140 is pending from March, 2002. He had a "RFE" in early November for Company financials and his pay-stubs. This was answered and was received on 11/14/02 at NSC.

He is still waiting for that. His I-485 was filed in Sep and he had fingerprints done as well. EAD/AP not approved yet as I-140 still pending. This is beacuse the I-140 was not concurrent filing.

Anyone in the same boat.
