I-140 processing @ Dallas Office ???

I have seen 140 & 485 filed concurrently being transferred to local offices together. Mine is also in the same boat. 140 & 485 filed concurrently and transferred to local office for processing together. According to my attorney, CIS is increasingly using this practice. Local office becomes the adjudicating office. In other words, it acts like a service center to help with the backlogs.

After 485 Interview,140 is moving to dist office

After my employer enquired about my 140 on feb 28,the TSC said that the DDO has requested my 140 to local office.
where to find the processing dates for local offices if 140 is moved to dist offices.
how long will it take to approve 140.
Any ideas are welcome.

thanks

After understanding your situation more clearly, I can see that it is just a formality in your case. Your 485 is approved and 140 should be approved shortly. Unfortunately, there is no way for you to find out processing times or status of your case online anymore. You would have to make an infopass appointment for that. Once the case is transferred to local offices, status never gets updated. In addition, do not let the processing time at local offices mislead you either. They are only related to family based applications. That is why you don't see processing times for documents like 140 for local offices. Even though they process them. They don't post processing times for employment based cases. For example, Dallas office (in your case) is showing that they are processing 485s from December 31, 2004. This is hardly the case with employment base applications. So my advice, sit back, relax and enjoy. You are almost out of this long dark tunnel

Thanks for your reply.

Can my spouse take a infopass appt and enquire about 140.Since the 485 application of spouse is also pending at DDO.
Thanks for reply.

I dont see any harm in that. However, I don't know how much information you can get out of them.
