I-140 problem

I am currently working as a post doc in an lab that works with infectious bacteria. i applied for my I140 in Nov 2003 in Texas based on my work with a bacterium that causes ulcers and cancer. However because of my experience and urgency of completing the new project from the biodefence dept, my boss now asked me to work with anthrax (similar work as previus project just different bacteria and toxin).

My boss is also moving to univ of illinois at urban champagne in March 2004

i was told that i should write to the senator and ask to push the application of my I140 because i work with anthrax...i was wondering if this would affect my application and whether it is advisable.

should i apply for my 485 here or apply at chichago ?

any type of advise or links would be really appreciated

it is of course always good to get support from high-ranking people but I am afraid that the USCIS will argue that this change don't effect your case because it happened after your filing date.
