I 140 Pending since May 2002

Hello Everyone,
Is there anyone whose I 140 is pending since/before May 2002 ?
It has been almost 2 years since I filed it. I wanted to know if
anyone is there in the same boat or anyone who cleared lately.
Yesterday they change the online status message that
Your case has been transferred to local office at Chicago.
Does anyone know how long chicago local office take to process
I 140 ?

I 140 Pending from May 2002

It's EB2.
I 140 was filed in May 2002.
I 485 was filed in Oct 2002 under concurrent law
 
Arvindb,
for ur 140, did your company used substitute labor and not your own labor approval bcos for substitute labor's 140 is taking a lot time due to more scrutiny such as matching education, experience and skills of urs with the substitute labor, So it takes more time.
Also, if under EB2, it takes more time bcos EB2 is for Advanced Degree with experience.
So please let us know that labor used for ur 140 is your own labor OR substitute???

May 2003 filing

Hi Arvind,

My case is not as old as yours, but my I-140 is pending since May 2003. I applied 485 in August, 2003 and got RFE in September 2003. We replied to RFE and response was received by BCIS in November 2003. This may not seem a long time, compared to your case, but I juts wanted to mention my case also. I don't know what options you have if your I-140 is taking longer ? Any suggestions from anyone ?
