I submitted them on the same day in Aug, 2003. The Extraordinary got approved on Dec 6, and the next day I received NIW approval (both no RFE). It is not fast but it looks VSC is processing all cases of one alien together, not separately.
That is what happened to me either. Both NIW and EA were approved in the same day. I am not sure whether this means that if one of them is rejected then the other will be rejected too?
