I-140 Issues

Hi Guys,
I filed for my I-140 and 485 concurently in July 2002 (EB3) and my reciept date is july 16th 2002.

My case is still pending. Is anyone else in the same boat? I see messages here that august and october cases got approved.

Any ideas?

Dear Friend,
If you haven't contacted BCIS through the toll-free number, call them and talk to them. since you would have reached 360 days or more, they will collect info from you and send it to VSC.
 
I have tried calling the 800 # atleast 10 times. I have been on hold for almost 2-3 hrs and then i usually end up hangin.

My lawyers also are of no great help as they always just ask me to have patience and wait!!


By the way, on a seperate note, my EAD is expiring soon(november). Do I need to apply for a renewal? If so then do I have to use my attorney? Or can I do it on my own?

EAD expiring?

msonthal -- my attorney or employer doesn't care about the delay in my GC processing - because it is happening according to their wish..
My EAD is also expiring in Nov03. I am going to apply for renewal in a couple of weeks on my own - because THEY will apply only at the last minute and create problems.... You can do it on your own, it is easy... go through EAD related threads for additional info

Do it fast Snowbell. I did it on my own. Once the BCIS looks into our names they will take one year to approve EAD.
 
I could not find anything on the threads for applying for EAD renewal? Any pointers would be very very helpful.

EAD, AP received

485 - ND Sept 18.

Talked to BCIS yesterday, lady told me its now taking 14 months, so wait 2 more weeks and call back.
 
Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. You guys are very very helpful. I just hope all our I-140 will be approved soon.
