I-140 issue

Hi I got my I-140 approved though a company A in December 2001. Company A was aquired by company B. and filed another
I-140 from company B in Dec 2001 as a substitution. Filed I-485 on MArch 3rd 2002 based on I-140 approved thorugh company A.

Now I got my EAD and after 180 days I changed job to an another company since company B is out of business.
This month (Dec 2002) , I received an RFE for I-140 filed through company B and there is no company B to answer that.

What is my situation now ? Is my I-485 good based on I-140 through company A and 180 day rule.
Please help me on what to do.

Your message is not clear on whether company B I-140 filing is independent of your I-485. If Its a different I-140 application ( and not a amendment to I-140 from company A - as a aquiror)
and your I-485 is based on company A you are safe and you don't need to answer RFE. But anyway why did you file company B I-140 seperately??
 
Yes company B which acquired company A filed for an amended I-140.

PLease let me know...
