I-140 EB3 processing dates

Hi,
After the processing dates for April are published last week, it's kinda strange that I-140 EB3 moved only to May 15th, 2003. I think I did see couple of june and July approvals lately on this forums for people who haven't even received RFE's. I was thinking regular processing for EB3 should have touched june and july already. IS USCIS not updating correctly or they wont update the dates until all cases until may are done one way or another?!

comments please!

Thanks

This is totally speculative on my part but it does seem that the USCIS has been concentrating somewhat on EB2's recently. That's not to say that they aren't also processing EB3's as we've seen quite a few of those approved (on this forum), but there's definitely been a stepping up of EB2 processing.

But, my impression is that despite the given May 15th date the VSC is looking at EB3 cases from May - July currently (there was a recent approval for a EB3 case from July 18 w. no RFE). It definitely feels like EB3's are moving along slowly but surely.

Also, I remember reading a recent post (maybe it was on murthy.com) which explained how the USCIS arrives at their processing dates. If I recall correctly, they use the date of the *oldest* case that they're looking at, so the official date can be well behind the average date.

I personally find that the consolidated trackers are much more useful for getting a picture of where things stand.

USCIS definitely doent use the date for the oldest case as the date they show cases are getting processed. Mine as an example where RD is May 06 while the processing date on their web site is 05/15/04.
