If you are in CA 14 district then why dont you sometime pay
a visit and talk to the immigration case worker at their office
and handover our petition letter. If you let others know about
your visit here, others may join. You can request for other details
as kashmir suggested to me in other thread.

I have met their immigration case worker Ms Lisa and one another
gentleman Jeff. They have said that Mr. Honda is already working
on the immigration delays. I have stressed on AC 21 law being
invalidated and the relief lost. They have asked me to give
my personal details and sign a Privacy Release form which they
need if they have to contact USCIS on behalf of us.

They will send me and gc369 an E-mail or call us if they hear from
USCIS.

Normally this is used for personal cases which are before the JIT
date. Here they said they will fax our letter to USCIS.

I guess optimistique was also asked to sign "Privacy Release" form
by Mr. Prakash Khatri.

I am planning to visit Ms. Anna Eshoo's office next week. She is located in

698 Emerson Street
Palo Alto, California 94301

complete listo f congressmen/women in immigration subcommittee

I've compiled a complete contact list including all congressmen/women who are in the congress Immigration subcommittee. I've gotten the impression that the congressmen/women will not respond to emails from people outside of their jurisdiction.

For people in California, please voice your concerns to Congressman Elton Gallegly or Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, or Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren or Congressman Howard Berman.

Are you going to visit Anna Eshoo's Palo Alto office at 1:30pm tomorrow on 8/18/2004 ?

News from Eshoo's office:

I just talked to Peddy, who is in charge of Immigration issue in Eshoo's office today. She told me that, because of our campaign/fax/mail last week, she has initiated an inquiry into the California Service Center last week. CSC is required to respond within 30 days. She said she is going to get back to me once they hear something from the CSC. I guess I will wait another two to three weeks and check back with Petty. She said she doesn't have any more information to tell us except that she initiated a letter to CSC.

askgc, what did Mile Honda's office did for your visit? Did they initiate any actions?

Another update, I haven't received any replies from those faxes/emails/mails I did last week. Did anyone get any response?

I plan to attend:
Santa Clara Town Hall
Santa Clara Senior Center
Monday, August 23rd
6:30-7:30 pm
1303 Fremont St.
Santa Clara, CA 95050

But, I have a regular business meeting every Monday evening, so I cannot guarantee.
Otherwise, I will attend one on Wednesday or Friday.

> Our campaign doesn't seem to have an impact YET!

It has just started and only a few Congressional members started working.
It needs a little bit more time.

But we have not seen any post reporting a participation in the fax/e-mail campaign recently.
At least 50 people should participate in the campaign,
and hundreds of letters should be sent to Congressional offices.
Also, a dozen of people should visit their representative's district office.
I believe the current participations from this I-140 CSC forum is not enough.

I will join you guys for the santa clara meeting.

several questions:

1. what to bring

2. my location seems to be Eshoo's area, not MH. would it be ok for me to go to MH's Town Hall meeting?

3. please let me know how to meet you guys.

Here are two letters I used to mail to CSC & USCIS directors. Let's keep our actions up. askgc and kashmir, can you update the status of our campaign? I can't seem to see our progress.

Should not be a problem

I guess it is ok and should not be a problem.

By the way I attended Joe lofgrens town hall and signed a letter addressed
to her too.
