Hi all,

I just received a notification email saying that my I-140 has been approved.

Details: ND: 3/12/04.
Category: EB-2.
LUD: 12/14/04 (H1-B extension approved that day), 12/29/04 (Case approved).

Very surprised that they are processing cases this week!

Congratulations!!! zootsoot,

Did you filed concurrently? Have you received any LUDs on 485? I saw one case where in I140 was approved without any say on 485 in case of concurrent filing.

Hope you'll get your 485 approval pretty soon and you can celebrate ur new year with freedom :)

Yes, I did file concurrently (03/12/04). My 485 LUD is 10/15/04, which I think was a mass update because several of my coworkers had their 485 LUDs change on that day also.

So yes, in this case also it seems like the 140 was approved without anything happening on the 485. I'm very happy though, because I am going to be getting laid off in 6-8 weeks. I can now use AC21 if necessary.

Can you tell me what was mentioned in the mail as I have also recd a mail but not sure if it reflects my RFE which lawyer recd on 12/13/04.

The email I received said this:

Application Type: I140 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On December 28, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I-485 approved

Hi,

Following my I-140 approval, I got email notification telling me that my I-485 was approved yesterday.

The details of my case are as follows:

I-140/I-485 concurrent filing: notice dates 03/12/04.

Fingerprinting: 04/23/04.

I-485 LUD: 04/28/04 (fingerprint review received, processing resumed),
10/15/04 (no change in status, I think it was a mass update),
01/04/05 (case approved).

My wife's I-485 remains unapproved. Her fingerprinting was done on 12/21/04 after the ASC was closed in mourning for Pres. Reagan the day of her original apptmt.

Before your I-140 was approved, was there any LUD on our I-140? RD on my I140 is July 14, 2004, LUD on my I-140 is January 4, 2005. Does this indicate that my case is currently under the review process?

One of my colleagues had the I-140 LUD change, and then an approval notice arrived in the mail; the status online never changed even after the approval. I have read about several cases like this on this forum. So I think there is a good chance that your case is now being reviewed.

The details of my case are:

Details: ND: 3/12/04.
Category: EB-2.
LUD: 07/13/04 (showed up in online system first time), 12/14/04 (H1-B extension approved that day), 12/29/04 (Case approved).

I do hope you get an approval very very soon!
 
LUD changed

Hi pachanga,

My case also similar to yours (RD 07/13/04) and
got LUD on 01/06/05 but no message from USCIS so far.

Do you have an update from them??

Hi

Yesterday I got an email from USCIS stating that my I-140 is approved. I am still waiting for the postal mail to arrive though.

I am hoping to get my I-485 approval soon (it was concurrent filing in EB3). But I read somewhere (on this site) that they are not treating I-140 and I-485 together because the priority dates changed on Jan 1, 2005. But I guess it might be for folks whose prioirty date is after Jan 1, 2002. But I am still hoping for the best ! Anyone any inputs on this ?

I am curious to know about Mass Update on I-140. Is there any impact on I-140 process of any individual. Please expain. Thanks.

No I have not received any notice from neither USCIS nor my attorney. LUD must be related to some kind of file update but not the review. BTW, your case is very similar to mine. I applied I-140 on 07/14/04 and I-485 on 12/20/04. Why did you file both I-140 and I-485 seperately? In my case, one of attornies messed up my case by providing me with wrong info. So I pusued CP instead. Then another attorney from the same firm asked me to switch to AOS later. I could have filed I-485 in July 2004....

Filed the I-140 first as per my attorney advise(due to Sub Labor) in July 04
then filed I-485 in December 04 because of EB3 Retrogression.
