Dear forum members,

I am very happy to announce that my husband's I-140 was approved today without request for further evidence at Texas Service Center. We filed electronically 2 weeks ago and the case went automatically to Texas. Thank you all so much for information and support!

Could you please post your credentials and what you had claimed in EB1
Did you file PP

Thanks

Yes, we filed the PP one week ago.

I am not sure that I am posting a complete credentials description, but here it is:
PhD in computer science from the US university
Working as a vice president of a company that provides software solutions to the government agencies, mostly FDA and Dep. of Defense. 3 letters were from those agencies
Designed a software that monitors US food import safety - holds patent
At the same time continues research at the university from which he is a graduate:
14 first author publications
88 citations
reviewer for 2 major journals in computer science research. One letter from the editor-in-chief of the journal describing the required qualifications and why he meets those qualifications
4 international conference presentations - 4 letters from the scientists who met him at those conferences - China, Korea and Japan
All of the letters were from independent scientists. One letter from the scientist from his university who was never his supervisor - putting him among the top 5 most gifted students that he has met in his entire academic/teaching career.
A letter from the current employer verifying the offer of permanent employment - we found this was important.

If I recall more details of the credentials, i will post them later. We found it very helpful to know other people's credentials and the supporting documentation that they provided, so I will try to share as much as I can - hopefully, many applicants will find it helpful

I just recalled one more element of his credentials:
Together, we have been donating our time and expertise to the non-profit international organization that consists of the individuals affected with a very rare form of cancer. He and I are currently involved in a research study that investigates genetics of this type of cancer. In the research team he is leading a development of a software model that will be able to analyze the genetic findings and predict the progression of this disease. We never thought that this could be used as a supporting evidence, since this is a completely charitable things for us, but the attorney said that this is a very valuable aspect which demonstrates that he is using his skills for something that does not concern him directly. A letter from this organization validating his contribution was absolutely wonderful and, in my opinion, was the strongest letter in the package.
We had 13 letters total.

Thanks for kind words. I am just so happy that his application was approved - I got my GC late last year and it takes forever for a spouse of an LPR to get their documents approved. His H1B visa expires by the end of this year, so if not for this approval, we would have to stay in different countries for at least one year. I feel so blessed now that we can start planning something permanent. The information on this forum was so helpful, I found so many details about the preparation of the case- I was actually advising our lawyer based on some info that I found posted here. Certainly, the process of e-filing was something that others here have generously described to me and I then asked the attorney to do (since she had no idea about the process of e-filing and how cases from e-files go to the Texas center). So, thank you all so much and God bless everyone.
