I-140 Approved Laid off

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone else is in a similar situation. Any suggestions/help ?

My I140 was approved but I was laid off before my I 485 could be filed. Is there any possibility of using the approved 140 petition.
 
It's not possible to use the approved I-140 for another employer. However, the previous employer (the one that has the approved I-140) can continue on with the GC if they are willing to rehire you when the GC is approved. INS could challenge it and there could be difficulties but otherwise you need to either find another certified LC with the new employer or start over.

What are the chances of getting an F1 approved in this case? Do you think that this is a feasible optoin at all?

I- 140 approved but laid off

Will the approval of 140 have a negative effect on the F1 application?

Just got laid off yesterday, but my valid termination is Dec 14th, 2002. I am filing my 140 in June 19th, 2002 and I-485 in Sept 30th, 2002. I don't know if my 140 is approved yet. But, I guess it hasn't.
What should I do?
If I find same job description outside the company, can I still use my 140 or I have start all over from filing Green card?
If I get extension to stay in same company. How long should I stay until I can change job?
The company also applying for me EAD. If I got my EAD before my termination, is that mean, I can use that EAD in some other company?

Could you please let me know what Tammy2 has suggested regarding your problem ( I-140 Approved Laid off ), as I am also going through the same problem.
