I-140 approved-interesting case

One of my friend in my company applied I-140 in june second week.
today, he told me that his I-140 is approved. Approves in 10 days.
he is Ph.D but applied in EB2.

Similarly another colleague, who applied in Dec, 2002 in similar category and having similar qualification did not get any approval notice yet. Only difference is this person has to go through special registration before LC is approved.
It is funny how VSC work:) :confused:

Did you guys see other approval reported by GoshVaLabor. Its hardly a month. Got his I-140 along with AP and EAD.

I just found out that my 140 got approved. Its unbelieveable that it got approved in a month....more so since such things do not happen to me.

Anyone interested in my timeline:

EB2
140-485 applied concurrently on 6/3/03.
140 approved on 7/9/03.
 
I am also wondering if special registration has some impact on GC process. Is it possible if people with I-140 cases pending around a year or so can share if they have gone thru special registration? My details

RD: 07/11/02
Special registration: Yes
AD: no response no RFE
 
Its good if its true!
Personally I dont' believe this, unless I see the status online. If he cares to share EAC, we will be happy to dig some more into it! :)
 
You don't want to be qualified for special registration. INS requires people born in certain countries to show up for registration in case they are terrorists.

my 140 also got approved in 1 month.

Well ,Nice to know about u.
But i filed my 140 on 11/21/02 and 485 on 12/05/03.
Will u not consider is concurrent?
Approval for I-140 is still awaited...
