How long is NSC taking for I140 approvals lately?

I filed on Feb 10 2003. Got receipt notice, but no approval yet??

Anyone who knows the trend, please advise!

I filed my I-140 in August end and received my receipt notice in September mid.

It took until December end for my approval.

But mine had a problem with my lawyer messing up with the name.So make sure that you have all things done correctly.Keep checking once every week on the Visa status site. They update every week.Even if there is a problem they will update. So you will have to contact the lawyer in that case. But Nebraska is the second fastest center after Vermont.

So if u do not have any problems expect it to come by 3 months exact in your hand.

Thank you..Mine is actually an amend due to company name change while the 485 is pending for more than 16 months.

Thanks for your inputs....

I had applied for I-140 on 14th Jan 2003 and recvd. approval
on Mar 8 2003. It seems it is going fast these days.

Hi dimbaka,
what was the category under which u filed u'r I140. Mine was filed on Jan 14 2003 under EB3 and I'm still waiting to hear form the BCIS..
Anybody else here who had filed for I140 around Jan 14 2003 waiting for approval or got his/her approved please do let me know.
Thanks

Waiting for approval

My RD date is Jan 27th, no news yet. Category EB3, RIR, non-concurrent. I see that EB2 cases are moving faster that EB3. Someone whose RD is Feb. 18 has got a RFE (which means his file was reviewed). As of now in EB3 I see 2-3 approvals for dates
upto Jan 10.

Me waiting too

Hi Solan,
Are you from a special registration country?

Hi kjkool,
I've not filed my I140 in any special category like "special registration country". It's just the normal category like all H1 guys do ( RIR ) and its not even congurent.

List of Special Registration Countries

Hi Solan,
There's no special category for I-140 as "Special Registration Country". I just wrote that to elaborate that I'm from a special registration country. SR Countries are in 4 groups,

1. Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Syria
2. Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea, Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen
3. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia
4. Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait

If you are from one of these countries, you are required to undergo a special registration procedure with BCIS at the port of entry or if you stay for more than a month in US. BCIS may do a background check on you, which can cause a delay in processing in I-140 as compared to other countries.

Hope it clarifies, for more detail on special registration:
