I-140 Application- Birth certificate

Indian consulates give a "Birth Certicate" based on your passport.
Will this document suffice for the I-140 process? If anyone on these
boards has tried to use this, please let me know if it worked.
Would save us a lot of hassle.

I don\'t think you need birth certificate for the I-140. You need this during 485. Check with your lawyer.

Thank you for the clarification. But, will the birth certificate
issued by the Indian Consulate suffice. Has anyone tried using
this? And what has their experience been, any RFEs? trying
to avaoid putting my folks through the grinder getting this
document.
