I-140 and I-485 are pending - Can I change the employer

My case is very peculiar. My lawer filed my case in EB1C (Multinational Manager/Executive) catagory and did concurrant filing for I-485, I-140, EAD and AP together and receipt date for all these forms is November 14 2006. My EAD and AP are approved on 01/18/2007 and they are valid until 01/18/2008. We have applied for renewal.

However my I-140 and I-485 are still pending. The NSC is currently processing I-140s for Jan 2007 and I-485 for April 2007. The processing dates are already crossed my receipt dates...but no luck yet...

At this point, I am thinking of changing my employer. ******Please let me know if this is possible or not?***** I really need your valuable suggestions and appreciate your comments.

Note: My H1 is still valid upto 02/18/2008. I haven't used my EAD or AP.

My future employer will also process EB1C. So Can I keep same processing dates? or will it be a new process from start?

Based on Manwithnoname's article, the I-140 dates are portable, even if I-140 is not approved.

Why should I wait until I-140 is approved?
