Hey, Guys.
I am back again.
I have one more question regarding I-485 filing.
Do I have to add I-134( affidavit of support)? I am putting my spouse as a dependent and I am not sure whether I have to add I-134 form or not. I got the employment verification letter from my current employer.

I'll appreciate all your response and help.

Thank you:)

I'm spouse of principal applicant. We both work. As I understand I'll have to add I-134 to my I-485. Do we need to put employment verification letter for each of us or just for principal applicant. and also Do we need to send a proof of our funds (bank account statement or whatever)? Can anyone help with it, please?
Thank you!

Thank ginnu!
One more question: if my husband has lost a job, what would we have to send instead of the employment verification letter (EVL)? my EVL? or just send what we have and relax? I know it's too early to worry about it (5 month away), but I want to be prepared in advance.
Thanks a lot!

---------------------- Job offer letter(employment verification letter) is needed with I-485. I-485 is approved on the base of Job offer letter. if no Permanent job offer then I-485 cant be approved. FYI GC is for Future job

my EVL?
------Only if you are Primary and your LC got approved, your I-140 got approved and your PD is current for I-485 filing

or just send what we have and relax? I know it's too early to worry about it (5 month away), but I want to be prepared in advance.

this letter should be dated the same month it is sent or it doesn't matter? what is validity period of the document? I mean, how much time prior to sending the letter has to be issued? 1 week, 1 month, a few months?

--------------------- it should be latest letter, One should not submit 6 months old dated letter job offer letter, USCIS can ask new letter but if one becomes eligible for AC21 (I-140 approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days) then one can submit new employer letter to invoke AC21
what is validity period of the document?
------------------ it is valid tillI-485 is approved but if employer Revoke the I-140 Before filing I-485 then no use

----- you are trying to get letter from his employer and his PD is not current. If PD is not current why the employer should give Job offer letter for I-485?. when the PD is current and he is eligible to file I-485 then post the question or ask the lawyer who file I-485.

I am sorry but what is PD? We're going to file asylum based I-485 ourselves. and I'm kind of confused by all these PD and I-140. I haven't mentioned this earlier, sorry.
