I-131 bio-appt urgent help!!!!

The USCIS issued a notice date for my i-131 application on December 9, 2010 but I am still waiting for my biometrics appointment letter. It's now been more than 3 weeks since USCIS received my application, is this a normal timeline? Does anybody know if the holidays delay the process?

I am in a very difficult situation because I have to leave the country in less than 2 weeks so am trying to come up with possible solutions in case I don't get the letter soon. Would it be advisable to walk-in with only the receipt notice? Or, would it be better to make an info-pass appointment?

Thank you very much for your input... I am very stressed!
 
Waiting 3-4 weeks for the FP appointment letter is normal. And due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays, plus many people taking vacation in December, add another week before you get concerned.

Please can anybody help me out on my application I-131 for RTD...Briefly my application has been accepted on June,2010 then i received a biometrics appointment notice..then my fingerprints has been captured on November 2010...one month and a half later I received another appointment notice for biometrics suppose to be taken...I called USCIS and explained them the situation they told me that they received my biometrics on November...Anybody knows what is going on?? My second appointment on Jan, 2011 what should I do???
 
Trinastic -- any updates on your case processing? Would be great to know when/if you received your appointment notice, and if you were able to do biometrics through and infopass appointment?

I'm waiting for my appointment letter, also, and I'm trying to assess how long the processing will take.
