For form I-131, in the Initial Evidence section within the Instructions, section I, subsection C (Advance Parole Document), it says"

If you are in the United stateds, you must attach:
a. A copy of any document issued to you by the USCIS or fomer INS showing your present status in the United States..."

What should I use for this? Or, is it even necessary to include any document for this, because I have never seen anybody mentioned anything about this before?

A copy of the I-94 would suffice as proof of current status. You may also send in any notice issued by USCIS that states your curent status (like H1-B approval notice, or visitor visa extension notice).

No one talks about this because the answer is obvious. If it was not necessary, it would not be asked in the first place.
