Hi everyone

Does anyone know what is happening to I-130s (Spouce of LPRs) filed in Nebraska Service Center? I have heard that they are transferring these cases to California Service Center. Is anyone in this situation or does anyone know anything about this?

I really appreciate your help

Thanks alot

Hi

No I filed my application May 2002 and I have not heard anything since then. When I check the processing dates on uscis.gov it shows that they (NSC) are "Working" on cases received on April 2001 but this date has not changed for at least two years; The thing is that those who filed in F2A category (spouces of LPRs) in April 2001 have now visa numbers available to them but it appears that NSC has not processed their cases yet.

My understanding was that whenever a visa number becomes available CIS should make a decision on the pending I-130 but the processign dates of NSC tell otherwise; I will appreciate your input on this matter

Thanks alot;

But you should have atleast received a Receipt Notice within 30 days of filing. How do you know they have received/accepted your application? Is your check has been cashed?

Oh I have that receipt. I received it shortly after filing the application on May of 2002;

Like I said, NSC is currently 'processing' I-130s that are filed on April 13 2001 but the Visa numbers for this category (F2A: spouces of LPRs ) is available for those who filed on or before July 22 2001. In other words if NSC adjudicates those cases (filed in April, May, June, or July 2001) , they can file their I-485 but it seems that they are not doing anything and I wonder what is going on...?!!!!!

looks like I'm in your boat as well. I applied for my spouse's I 130 in Apr 2002,at nebrasaka center and transferred it to the texas center afterwards(coz I moved to NC from IL) and yet to recieve the approval notice. It looks like our P.Ds are gonna get current in few months. Hopefully they'll approve our cases before then.
Let's keep ourselves updated with each other updates.

Thanks
