I-130 Transferred to Nebraska

Hi All

Firstly like to say i have been reading here for a few years and thought it was abotu time that i got involved. A little background here is that i moved to the US when i was 10 on an E-2 visa i believe (if i can remember) through family work etc. I spent 8 years in the US and to make a long story short my parents ended up getting greencards but i did not due to ridiculously not being well educated on visa issues within the US. SO am back in London now.

Application for i-130 (F2B) went to Vermont service center on June 2nd 2006. Heard literally nothing until November 23rd 2009 when USICS stated that my application had been transferred to Nebraska. ( which i thought were not processing I-130's anymore). I then receive another email on the 24th of November (2 emails in 2 days.. AMAZING!! ) stating the following:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

Sorry to write an entire novel but is this good news? the processing times state 5 months for the Nebraska office. I guess i just want to know if there are any others out there who are in the same situation and are we getting close to a decision.

My case progress is more or less similar to yours. My sister sponsored me back in July 2007; application was filed at Vermont Service Center. Two days ago, on November 24th, application was transfered to Texas Service Center for processing. The reason stated was that they now have jurisdiction over this case. I am confused, not sure how these petitions are processed. According to their website, Texas Service Center has a 5 month case processing timeframe for I130 (sibling category) applications.

Hi Guys, thoguht i would give you an update and see if anyone was in the same boat.. I have just been transferred AGAIN! Is this normal.. has anyone else had this happen. Case details updated as below for you all..

On January 22, 2010, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you

I have now been transferred from Vermont to Nebraska... and now to Texas. Anyone know what is going on

Hi JamesLondon

I have the same question and am tired of getting my I-130 petition being transferred from one office to another...lol
seems like they just dont want to process these petitions.....lol

To give you my background.......we sail in the same boat... as my family is in the states with their green cards but not me. my I-130 petition was in Vermont and then transferred to Nebraska sometime in November 2009....and now the petition is transferred to Texas

I have no clue how this works and what is going to happen now.....but if you or someone else knows whats going on...please give us a heads up

My case is running the same way

Hello,
I submitted my case in October 30, 2006. After almost 2 years it was transferred to Nebraska (08/27/08), then again transferred to Texas (01/18/10). The problem is Texas is processing 11/17/05, so what is going to happen with my case? The worst part is that I haven't received my Approval or Denial notification yet! Now NVC is processing June, 1, 2006 (just 4 months before my petition date) Somebody is here with me on this Titanic Ship???
