Hi All
Firstly like to say i have been reading here for a few years and thought it was abotu time that i got involved. A little background here is that i moved to the US when i was 10 on an E-2 visa i believe (if i can remember) through family work etc. I spent 8 years in the US and to make a long story short my parents ended up getting greencards but i did not due to ridiculously not being well educated on visa issues within the US. SO am back in London now.
Application for i-130 (F2B) went to Vermont service center on June 2nd 2006. Heard literally nothing until November 23rd 2009 when USICS stated that my application had been transferred to Nebraska. ( which i thought were not processing I-130's anymore). I then receive another email on the 24th of November (2 emails in 2 days.. AMAZING!! ) stating the following:
Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.
Sorry to write an entire novel but is this good news? the processing times state 5 months for the Nebraska office. I guess i just want to know if there are any others out there who are in the same situation and are we getting close to a decision.
