Hello everyone;
I've been looking for the I-130 time line in California without any luck. I am almost ready to send mine petitioning my mom and I was wondering how long it takes to process. Well I will start adding my dates as soon as I sent it away. Thanks
PS. If you guys know a different post with this information please link me to it.:confused:

When you say approved you mean that it was approved for the part of the process that takes place in the US? So now it goes abroad to the embassy? It is after they approved it that you send the other form (I-864) and pay for the immigrant visa, right?

looks like you haven't pay the IV bill yet. that's another $400. After you paid the IV bill, you will have to have the applicant fill out DS230 and send the needed certified documents specified by the NVC.

NO sorry, i made a mistake, I got my receipt but I haven't gotten the notice of approval yet! That's what I've been waiting for, and I don't know how much longer it will take. Any idea???

My husband and I were wondering how long it takes to process. There goto be something wrong with the Timelines here. Almost one year to get a I-130 approved? we still haven’t yet got the packet since the NVC case number assigned on Sep,2008.

is there anyone else out there that has submitted theirs in 2007 and still waiting/wanting to know about how long it's taking them these days?

I have tried to call & email NVC in the last two weeks but have not had reply. Frustrating experience for both of my husband and I.:(:(:(:(:(

Are you a US citizen or permanent resident ? I applied for my mother (Vermont) and it took only 1 month for I-130 to be approved and less than 2 months to receive the visa (NVC processing + Medical + Consulate). I know processing is much faster for parents than for spouses even for US citizens.

Looking at your timeline, it looks like you haven't sent the DS3032 back to NVC. If this is the case, you will not receive anything until they get the DS3032. Upon receipt of DS3032, the interview bill will be generated and you will be able to pay it online.

As for the status of the I-864, NVC will contact you only of there is a problem with the form or if additional infos are needed.

No, I am not US citizen but my husband is. No we still have not received the packet but the payment of $400 sth has sent. The choice of agent and address form has completed and the NVC case number has confirmed.
