Hello everyone!

My husband filed I-130 for me at the end of January, they received it and sent Notice of Action. And still we haven't received anything else from them, no approval. I don't know what to do. Before applying, we called the USCIS and they told us to first send I-130, wait for the approval and then send i-485 and other documents. Seeing other people's messages, it seems we made a mistake sending I-130 without I-485, others' cases went so fast. What can we do to speed it up somehow?
Do you have any advise?

Thank you!

I just answered your question in a topic below:

if you married to USC, you don't have to wait for I-130 to be approved. You can either file I-130 and I-485 together (recommended), or you can file I-130, get a notice of receipt, and file I-485 with a copy of I-130 notice of receipt (some people do that, although they may have very special circumstances or simply don't know they can file them together).

Thank you LucyMo. So we will collect all the documents for the I-485 package. But do you know where to send them? The I-130 documents we sent to Mesquite, TX, and later on they were resent to California Service Center. Did you hear about InfoPass? Would it be a good idea to take these documents to the meeting?

Thanks again!

Texas_girl im in the same delima. I live in Dallas TX, I send my I-130 to Mesquite location and my lawyer told me They no longer process I-130 locally the send them to the Califonia Service Center for processing. I filed my I-130 on 01-11-2007 and still pending in the CSC. I did not file my I-485 yet. I am getting supprised that others who filed just around the same time and I did their application are being approved which is a good thing. But I guess we need to be more patient.

Hi Letsien, I really have no idea why they misinform people, maybe on purpose they want us to wait longer.... Anyway, at least now we know we can send I-485 package without waiting for the approval of I-130. It gives hope for getting visa faster. Good luck!
