I-130 interview question

Hi All,
I have green card and applied I-130 for my wife Aug 2006 and my wife's interview is next month. Since she is out of US I will be the only one to attend this interview.
She has 10 year B1/B2 visa and comes and visits me every year and stay here less than her I94 dates. My lawyer called me for the appointment with him for this and asked me to pay 500$ :( I was thinking to go to the interview by myself and since we have nothing to hide and legal marriage with 3yo child. He said every US entry she did might considered "fraud" cause of her I-130 application. He said he will "prepare me" :) I don't think it will change anything after his preparation :)
Do you guys think it is good idea to go with him or go myself?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
Regards, Elgin
