Dear friends. The I-130s for my parents have been approved. However I am not sure about the next steps and would appreciate your assistance. Both of my parents are overseas in their home country.

I received two emails each for my parents from NVC Inquiry (total 4 emails).

1) The first email contains a form called DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent). Should I forward this email to my parents and ask them complete the form and mail it back to the NVC here in the US?

2) The second email is asking is for Affidavit of Support Processing Fee Bill Invoice. Do I just pay this fees or do I need to send them my documents such as bank statements or tax returns?

Also other than the above two for my parents, is there anything else I need to do? I would really appreciate some general guidance. Thank you for your help.

Hi,
I am at exactly the same stage as you and this is my understanding....and I hope I'm right...and also hope that Bigbull or Jackolantern can confirm this.
For #1... They can fill it and send it to NVC OR they can sign it,scan it back to you and you can send it on via regular mail/FedEx / email.
For #2.... You can pay the fee online,no need for any documents here but you have to fill I864 for both parents separately and send it with 3 yrs tax transcripts and other supporting documents mentioned.

They have to fill and send DS230 form ,and this I'm not sure myself ,if it has to be downloaded or comes in the mail to them (or chosen agent) after #1 & 2 are taken care of.

Hope this helps and hope somebody experienced can confirm this!

Thanks smile1. Are you thinking about making yourself the agent for your parents or choosing the no agent option?

Anyone know about Tax Return require from parent ? my father does not have any income except small pension(less than RS 4K/month) and never file income tax in India. So do US Consulate ask for income tax return from parent during interview in Mumbai ?

As per my understanding , when we apply immigrant visa for parents & sent all the documents to NVC ahead of interview, then parents visiting US embassy for visa interview, will only required to have their passport, visa fee receipt, medical report with them.

All the tax information is submitted by the petitioner.
