I-130 for husband

Hi everybody,
I filled I-130 for my husban, I am LPR. After 7 days I got the I-797C,Notice Of Action, with the receipt number.
I do not know what next. My husband is in Saudi Arabia, and never been in USA.
I tried to to check the status on line but it says my number is wrong.
I need to travel to Saudia to see him . When is the good time because I am worried if the USCIS may send something in the mail while I am abroad.
Any advice will be appricaited.

You can go to visit him anytime. The question is how long are you going to be gone?
If you will be gone for less than one month, you will be fine. IF USCIS sends you any documents, they will be waiting for you in your mail box when you return.
Since you are a LPR, don't expect anything to happen quickly. Its going to take some time. So go ahead and visit your man. Remember, as a LPR, you cannot be out of the country for a prolonged period of time. Secure a re-entry permit if you will be out for more than a month...just to be on the safe side...

to be honest i will be for about 5 months.My mom will be the home and she will recieve the mail. Is it OK? Do you think USCIS will send something in the first year of the process since I am LPR?
