Hi ALL,
I have a Question on form I-130 - about D. Other Information - 2. Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien?

Is this question reagrding other I-130 petitions only? or any other immigration petition for others?

I have filed earlier for my ex wife I-485 when I was applying for GC via employment. Does that come under this?

Should I put those details in the above question?

Yes you have to tell them. They are probably looking for "serial marriers" such as those people who develop a habit of sponsoring spouses. Then they will look more closely at the case to see if there might be any signs of fraud since some people might be doing this for money.
 
Hmmm. I saw in a different post that "since employer files for employment based GC (folow to join for wife as well)", I may not be the petitioner for my ex-wife GC.

But, your advice is sound. I can add the details and they can check it out within few minutes what happened to the other GC application (it was abandoned immediately after approval-did not appear for fp - I-89)
 
Hi Guys,

I have a question about the I130 D2 question. My dad is a LPR who just applied for his citizenship test. When he applied for his greencard, he applied for me as well, however because of delays and an incompetent lawyer, it was denied because I became 21 when the application was finally being processed.

Would this be considered as being petitioned for? Or does this not count as he was not a LPR himself and was applying for me as a family member when he was applying for his greencard? Thanks!
