My dad is a citizen and has been for over 30 years. I am now 29, I was born in Trinidad, he filed for me three years ago, June 2008. My petition has been approved and is awating a VISA number, I have gotten married in these three years and now all I want is a visitor's visa to visit family and friends in the USA, I went to the Consulate in 2008, after the petition was filed and I was refused saying that I was a potential risk to stay in the US.
As I said, I am now married, myhusband and I have a home in our name, which we have a pending mortgage, I have a job, and I am a student pursuing my BA degree, I will be finished in school in 2012 or 2013 depending.
Would you advise me to try for the vistior's Visa or is it a waste of money in your opinion? Also, I noticed based on the VISA bulletin the proccessing has regessed, from 2006 I think it went to 2003 or 2004.
How much longer would you expect this to take. He filed for me as a single child ove 21, I am now married as I said.

I am sorry, I think he got his green card in 1979/80, I was born in 1982, this means he didnt have it for 5 years prior to me beong born and also, he became a citizen after I was born.
