I-130 category update; Can I-485 be filed while waiting?

I filed I-130 for my husband on Feb 3, 2025 when I was a green card holder. I naturalized last month and requested for the category of I-130 to be updated to Immediate Relative. The request is still pending (it’s been over a month). Can my spouse file I-485 in the meantime, or does he need to wait for I-130 category to be updated? He's in the United States.

Yes. I believe he can just attach a copy of your Certificate of Naturalization to his I-485, and mention upgrading in his cover letter.

I filed for my wife in April 2023 and now the final action date for that category that is F2A is current but I haven’t received a feed back from USCIs
