My mom filed an i-130 petition for her unmarried adult son (i.e. my brother) a few years ago. His priority date has a few more years before it becomes current. However, he is planning to move to another country and give up his residence status in his current country of residence. Would this impact his i-130 petition in any way? especially given that the embassy who will interview him has to change now. What are the steps that he or my mom (the petitioner) need to take to update the his residence country and address?
