I-130 approved!!!!

Hello everyone.....

Just sharing an update with my case

RD I-130 June 21 2001-Filed at Texas Service Center
PD I-130 April 30 2001
Sept 14 2005- transferred to Califonia
April 26 2006 - RFE I-130 (G-325A & 2 p-photos)
May 27 2006 - RFE sent
June 1st 2006 - husband became US citizen
June 1st 2006 - upgrade I-130 -
June 7th 2006 -RFE (G-325A & 2 p-photos)received
June 8th 2006 sent I-485, I-765, I-864 - (chicago Lock box)
RD: :confused: ??? (but registered on USPS website and it was received on June 11th, havnt received anything in the mail as yet)
14th June 2006 - I-130 approval via email
June 19th 2006 approval notice received in mail box :D :)

The only thing i'm confused about is that the approval letter states that the original visa petition was sent to NVC and "the NVC will contact the person for whom your are petitioning (benificiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps".

But when we sent in the upgrade we sent a cover letter stating that i'm here, same address as my husband so i'm wondering if this is just a standard letter they send out and why wldnt it state 'since the beneficary is present in the US' blah....blah...blah. Just a thought!!!

Well atleast one is approved and the most important one gets approved :D as well (well someday)

Congratulations and good luck with all further processing. Yeah, the letter sounds like a general one. As long as they have the right address to contact you or to mail you stuff, you should be fine. :)

what is RFE?
what form did you send to upgrade I-130?
Can you send upgraded I-130 with 485 ect together?

There is no form to send - Just a copy of the naturalization certificate and a cover letter with the receipt number of the I-130, beneficiary's name (person u are petitioning for) stating that the petitioner became a naturalized citizen so u would like to have the I-130 upgraded....this letter along with the certificate (copy)goes to the National Visa Center (NVC). Never got a reply that they received the request for upgrade (not sure if i needed to get one from them) but i know the Post Office delivered it.

Can you send upgraded I-130 with 485 ect together?

Well i also sent a copy along with the I-485 package(wasnt sure if i had to but i did :) )

Congratulations; but y did u get an interview for your I-130 petition? I dont hear about interviews for these.
