I 130 approved, what about I 485??

Hey guys,

I got a case update email from the USCIS saying that the Petition I 130 my husband filed for me was approved.
We went for the AOS interview 2 weeks ago in NYC. Does that mean I am approved also for that? Am I getting my GC??? or do I have to wait for another decision on my I 485? It's confusing!!!
Also, I checked my I 485 case status on their website and my receipt number for that doesn't seem to exist anymore!! I get that :
Case Status
The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system

This "probably" means that your I-485 has been approved. Congrats

I really hope you are right!
I also wanted to thank you for being so involved in this forum. I only joined a couple of weeks ago and really appreciated all the help your sticky and other posts from you have brought me.
I will keep everyone posted on my case (hoping that it will soon be over) and hope that it is helpful to some people. ;)

I am not trying to disappoint you guys, but here is my case. I had my interview on Dec6,2005, received 130 approval notice on Feb6, 2006(This is weird). I haven't heard anything from USCIS yet.
I hope you guys are right.

Yes. That is a strong indication that I-485 has been approved. From experience of folks from this forum, the I-485 disappears from the online case status database for a couple of days when the I-485 is approved and the card is being ordered.
 
So you meant 130 cannot indicate anything in her case, but the disapperance of online case status can.

I-485 approval is what approves your GC. I-130 approval is only to establish a relationship between applicant and sponsor and to issue an immigrant visa number for processing the I-485.

Disappearance of the I-485 from the online case status database is not a fool-proof indication that it has been approved. It is a strong enough indication though as that has been the pattern amongst a lot of us here. Those whose I-485 disappeared got the welcome letter or approval email shortly.

You should get an email update if you created an account on the USCIS website with you receipt numbers, and if they update it on their website. If you didn't, you will only receive it by mail.
I hope you get your GC soon, I'm sorry you've been waiting so long. You deserve it more than me (but I'll take mine as soon as it can come too ;) )

i 130 approved, i485 lost

i had my interview in 28th, offficer said 60/40 chances due to mix up in days it was a strict interview, 29th i seee i 130 approved but i 485 says now invalid, so dont know whats going to happen, called customer service and they say i 485 is pending. let me know when u recieve ur GC.
 
I did register online, but it hasn't been updated since i did my fingerprint. Anyway, I called senator two days ago about my case(most likely delay in name check), let's see what happens next.

I got my AOS approved (see: I 485 approved!! thread) :)
I will post a message as I get notices and GC in the mail.
 
I told you man, 11-12 days from the date the I-485 status disappeared, that is the date the I-130 got approved online.

How many days has it been?

You were right! It actually even took less time; 4 days!! I am away but will be home tuesday night to check my mail..Hopefully the notices will already be there and maybe even a welcome letter... :)

My 11-12 day prediction is for the actual green card to be in your hand, not for the approval email ;)

I don't think you've gotten the card yet :)

My estimate still stands :)

Green card

i was in the same situation got i 130 approval notice online, GC status disappear, but recieved an approval letter from the district officer where we had the interview with 3 days stating i can go the district office to get my passport stamped or i can wait for GC in mail.
 
I got it!!

I was away since last thursday and when I got home last night I found the 2 notices of approval for I 130 and I 485 AND my GREEN CARD!!! (which is not green at all by the way ;) )
It's awesome! You guys out there waiting, there is hope!!! :D
