I'm a US citizen and trying to plan the paperwork to submit for my wife to enter the states and I'm a little worried about the part where she isn't allowed to enter while the paperwork is being processed. I planned to submit the 129 and 130 at the same time. I've asked around and it seems that a K-visa is taking about 6 months to get approved. I've heard that during that time she will ruin everything in the works if she enters the US (even if she has another valid visa)?
Is this true, and is there any work-around? I'm trying to plan a big family trip for her to be on next year and I don't want to run into any immigration problems.
